With Imagine Music Festival creeping up around the corner, people are talking more and more about their excitement for various performers such as Adventure Club, Dillon Francis, Riven,Thomas Jack, and Zeds Dead to name a few. Overall the festival ranges in a broad genre spectrum, providing a little somethin’ somethin’ for every festival goer.
There are so many performers that we’re looking forward to this weekend. One wild card coming straight from the A’s heart and soul is Leah Culver formerly known as the one and only MK Ultra. She’s a heavyweight in the Powerhouse scene whose infectious Electro beats have pushed her out of the boundaries of being just “another Atlanta musician.” Her recent move to New York City has left a giant hole in the Atlanta EDM scene, and her return to Imagine is just on time to patch it up. Another Charlotte favorite adding to the female fam of Imagine Fest EDM is DOMii. A strong motivational factor that fuels these DJs to grow is being female artists in a male dominated industry. While we’re very excited to see them perform, other artists like Atlanta production duo Sunday Service, an ignorant b2b set betweenCaspa and Rusko as well as Funtcase & Cookie Monsta have us anxiously excited. Why are we anxious? Because we wish Friday would come faster.
Can you believe that we’re days away from coming together to flood the Atlanta Motor Speedway for a three day festival rager in the sweet south? Gates to the “Aquatic Fairytale” open at 3 in the afternoon as Queen City favorite, Ra, kicks things off at the Oceania stage. Other incredible acts who will be playing on Friday include Snails, Black Tiger Sex Machine and Borgeous. The weekend will be filled with dubstep, trance, trap, house, and tropical vibes as Imaginers roam all 1.5 miles of the festival grounds to find their favorite performers. The Speedway’s capacity sits at over 110,000 seats not including the actual speed tracks and inner grassland. Can you Imagine (hehe) 110,000 celebrating life and music side by side? A vacation like this is something everyone deserves, at least every once in awhile. So treat yourself right and join the good times, many memories are yet to be made.
If you haven’t purchased a ticket you can pick them up at the box office whcih opens at 10am Friday morning. Although we always suggest you get your tickets before hand to avoid long lines and last minute annoyances. Tickets are now resting at roughly $300.
