Excision, Monxx, & Dion Timmer Set To Take Over the Carolinas in Less Than A Week

Who can tell me what greatest time of the year is? Leave it up to me to say the second week of February, because that’s usually around the time Excision blesses North Carolina with his yearly presence. If you’ve been seeing Exicision at the Fillmore since the Executioner days, then you know how much the Kelowna based producer has improved in the last five years, both through his visual productions as well as his sound structure. Not to mention after putting together one of the craziest festivals of all time. Excision just never stops improving. This year the Paradox Tour is only making two North Carolina stops. The first one is at the Ritz in Raleigh on February 7th, while February 8th marks the fifth year in a row that I’ll have seen Excision destroy the Fillmore Charlotte.  (Check out our 2017 Review on the Charlotte Paradox Tour Stop) But wait, there’s a lot more too this tour than just the main man himself.

Last year Excision made an amazing decision to include acts such as Dion Timmer and Cookie Monsta, who both threw down incredible sets. And while he had originally booked Liquid Stranger for the tour, it seems that things have changed, and the Dutch flyboy Dion Timmer will be performing for the Paradox Tour once again! The young producer took Charlotte by surprise last year as he shutdown the city with such a shocking display of raw, unadulterated bass. Let’s see if he can top his exceptional set at Lost Lands Music Festival. Never forget… “Shout out to Excision for Opening up for me!” – Dion Timmer, Day 3 of Lost Lands.

The third performer of the night is non other than the British terror, Peterborough’s worst nightmare, the most highest, the most dangerous, MONXX. His sound design is unlike most producers in the Dubstep scene, crafting strange sounds with other Riddim veterans such as MED & Ivory, Monxx is a Wizard on the dance floor and a Genie behind the DAW. He’ll make all your worst Bass music fantasies come true. Monxx has put out several groundbreaking tunes such as “Humiliation,” “Need 4 Speed” and “The Boogie Monsta,” and recently played an unfrogettable set in Washington DC alongisde Gram Greene, Cybin Quest, and Sektah, the dude knows how to throw down (Click Here to read the Monxx DC Review).
