Ever since the release of his debut album with Interscope, Oxymoron.. No, ever since the release of his first two large scale pieces of work, Habits and Contradictions, and Setbacks, Schoolboy Q has been one to watch out for. If we’re not mistaken, the last time Schoolboy Q played at the Fillmore was in 2012 during A$AP Rocky’s tour before releasing Long Live A$AP. Joining him on the stage were the likes of Ab-Soul (a special appearance), Danny Brown, and A$AP Ferg, among the rest of the Mob. But now it’s Q’s time to shine. From Amos Southend to the Fillmore, this jump in environments shouldn’t be a challenge for Q, who’s played stages larger than your favorite country artist, unless it’s Chesney, or Church, those guys are bad ass.
Earlier in the Summer Q had dropped his most recent album, titled as Blank Face. If you haven’t seen the cover work, it pretty much matches the name of the album perfectly. If you thought the album cover was neat, the music is even better. Check out the forever growing sound behind the LA rhymer this Sunday, September 18th at the Fillmore Charlotte. Grab your tickets here today! As for the rest of you Carolina folk, here are the links for the Raleigh and Myrtle Beach shows.
