The Return of Spitta … live at the Made From Scratch Music Festival

Next Saturday couldn’t roll up any quicker – and I mean that in more feasible ways than you could imagine! But for posterity, let’s stick to discussing the glorious vibes that will be crafted at this year’s first edition of the Made From Scratch Music and Arts Festival located right here in our beautiful, vastly growing Queen City. HipHop buffs should get excited for this special event, because history will be made once again, as longtime Carolina based veteran promoters, the Showroom Gallery, curate every aspect of the music festival in a way that will appeal to our love and passion for music and arts. What has seemingly been one of the slowest weeks of the summer will soon come to an end, as we Carolinians usher in the return of the 504 Boyz champion, the New Orleans Car Guru, baby Bash’s Godfather, the Co-creator of 2009’s infamous How Fly Mixtape, mister Curren$y the hot Spitta.

The Canal Street Confidential, Priest Andretti and New Jet City rapper hasn’t been to Charlotte since his 2015 Pilot Talk Three Tour, where hundreds of fans packed out the Fillmore to celebrate the newest installation in Spitta’s hottest project. Throw in the cool style of Sir Michael Rocks from the Cool Kids, and the intensified Reggae vibes that Shaggy passed down to his son Robb Bank$, and the way he express himself through HipHop verses, amongst a catalogue of high quality East Coast and Carolina rappers like 10 Cellphones,

and Elevator Jay, who I had first discovered at the AMCS Bodega Fest (Read the Review Here) before I could even buy myself a beer (legally).

Head Curator, DeMarco Matthews is more than excited to get his hands back in the Charlotte party scene, especially after organizing that insane Tory Lanez concert at the closing of the Tremont Music Hall in December of 2015. I got my festival pass in the mail on Monday, which arrived in this sleek, vacuum sealed bag that truly made me feel like my rare festival band was being safeguarded. Check out the rest of the line up for the extra hype!

The Made From Scratch Music and Arts Festival will be taking place at the Route 29 Pavilion right by the Charlotte Motor Speedway this Saturday, July 14th – if you enjoy live music, HipHop culture, thriving artists, or simply doing anything fun in Charlotte, then this is certainly the event for you. Maybe I’ll finally get that picture with Curren$y after six years of grinding, stay wonky!”
